This is the parent organisation of our own local u3a. As well as guiding and supporting local groups, it has its own learning activities with interest groups online, subject advice, and summer schools.
Since 1974, the Trust, formerly known as Shoreham Community Association, have run the building as a community venue where people can come together, to play, learn and celebrate.
As well as providing rooms to hire, the Centre has a coffee shop, weekly market and most recently an Art Gallery.
In 2013 the Trust welcomed into the building Adur & Worthing Council Customer Service Team, Citizens Advice and 4Sight. The Shoreham Centre provides a vibrant, safe and inclusive hub for the benefit of the whole community.
Established in 1998, AbilityNet is a pioneering UK charity transforming the lives of older and disabled people and working with organisations of all types and sizes to build a digital world that is accessible to all.
Southwick Community Centre, a dynamic hub with a rich history, hosts a vast array of activities through over 50 diverse groups. We proudly run the bustling Barn Theatre and organise significant community events. Our facilities are versatile, catering to everything from meetings and conferences to parties and receptions. The heart of our centre is the Barn Café, a popular meeting place serving delightful refreshments and meals.
Situated on the banks of the River Adur in Shoreham-by-Sea, Ropetackle Arts Centre is a multi-award winning, purpose-built venue presenting some of the biggest and best performing arts events in the UK.
Shoreham District Ornithological Society.
SDOS provides a social focus for birding and related natural history interests in the Shoreham area. We organise monthly winter talks and field trips throughout the year. We engage in local habitat conservation and work with the community. We have a members' email user group and a developing social media presence. Our mission is to maintain and enhance our members' interest in birds and natural habitats, whatever their initial level of expertise.
Southwick Camera Club offers a friendly, instructive and supportive environment where photographers of all levels of experience may develop their skills and showcase their work.
The club arranges a core programme of weekly meetings on Thursday evenings from September to late May/early June each year. These include competitions judged by external assessors and talks on photographic topics by members and outside speakers.
Meetings are held at Southwick Community Centre on Thursday evenings, September to May.
Age UK West Sussex, Brighton & Hove is here to support all local people. We exist to improve the lives of older people to keep them healthy, informed, connected and independent through our essential services and activities. By offering services such as befriending, information and advice, crisis care, help at home and much more, we reduce loneliness, isolation and poverty and provide help and assistance to live well and retain independence in later life.
