Our Group looks at recent discoveries of archaeological interest.

We are a friendly group of non archaeologists but people who are just interested in archaeology. Our shared learning approach means that group members choose an item seen in newspapers or on TV to do some initial research for discussion at meetings.
We always welcome any archaeological topics /discussions which a member brings especially information on recent discoveries. We have a 'Show and Tell' table to show any items which members bring in and we can show them onto the screen. During the warmer months we sometimes visit an archaeological site and have an annual social 'Big Dig' where we do a mini test dig in a member’s garden and replace as it was afterwards!
