This sociable group meets to taste and learn about wines from around the world.
Members are encouraged to take an active role by taking turns in providing the wines together with some tasting notes and also some background information on the wine-growing regions themselves.
This group has been running for over 10 years and incredibly we are still finding different grape varieties to try. We tasted The Treixadura from Spain and The Pais from Chile, and this year wines from Belgium and Holland which were a revelation. Members have also used a variety of places to source their wines including British Airways, The Wine Society and Lidl.
We plan to continue our quest looking for the perfect wine!
Our meetings are informal, fun and informative and you definitely do not need to be an expert.
The cost of the wines is shared by those in attendance.
